Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team and provide personalized academic support to students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. As a Tutor, you will work closely with students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, create customized lesson plans, and foster a positive learning environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in specified subject areas (e.g., math, language arts, social studies, science, etc.).

Assess students’ learning needs and provide tailored support to help them improve their academic performance.

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Create a supportive and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to communicate student progress and address any concerns.

Stay updated with educational best practices and curriculum developments relevant to tutoring subjects.

Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education, relevant subject area, or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred)

Previous teaching experience, preferably in a one-on-one or small group setting.

Strong understanding of academic subjects and curriculum standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of varying ages and backgrounds.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

Ability to develop lesson plans and educational materials that accommodate diverse learning styles.

Proficiency in using educational technology and online tutoring platforms is a plus.

Assessment skills to evaluate student progress and prepare report

Culturally competence and technologically proficient

Online teaching experience preferred
